If you are serious about performance,avoid the Mr.Gasket short adaptor.I tried one a couple years ago,and the transition is horrible, and the bent studs are about impossible to use. I'm not trying to bust anyone's chops,just real world experience. I ended up buying a Wilson's Manifolds 1" one that is real nice,but pretty expensive. Keith

you have a part # for that keith? i looked at their site & only spotted a 1.5 ht unit. they look like good products.

Those short 4500-4150 adapters look like they'd be so restrictive that you wouldn't see any performance increase from the bigger 4500 carburetor. Looks to me that if you can't use the taller adapter with a smoother transition, then you'd be better off staying with a 4150 carb or getting the a 4500 flange manifold. CHIP
