Am I not searching right or are a-body bushings impossible to find for '68s?
I dont see any possible way to get these old ones off without destroying. That bracket is welded all around, so it looks like they need to be cut up to get off.
When I look for them at any of the big vendors, I cant seem to find them anywhere.

You install the bushing in the bracket first with lots of soapy water, then slide the whole thing over the shaft.

...this is a job you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy...but it can be done.
Yes, destroy the old ones.Slide the metal brackets down to the flat mounting area.Install the new bushings in this smaller flat area by prying, pushing, wedging, forcing and mosly beating them.Once installed slide each to it's proper location.
Lube helps. These are widly avail.Good Luck!

OK, I can see that for the new ones with the rubber being flexible. The old ones are rock hard.
Still cant seem to find the bushings. I see e-body, but not a-body. Are they the same? End links, are easy to find...

Dont think so. At least right now the bushing looks to be shaped like a triangle to fit in the bracket. I will have to take a pic.

When I look up sway bar on NAPA's site I only see the end link kit. How did you find this one?

Went to napa 0n-line, choose the car: 68 barracuda, choose steering and suspension, then choose suspension parts front. Go to the second page. Right at the top is the sway bar bushing. The ones that look like a triangle are for the 73+ so choose a Dodge Dart for your car,

Very odd. They show the bushing and links for the '68 Plymouth, but only the links for Dodge. Even the '73 and up Dart does not look quite like it. Pic to follow.

I don't think you'll find rubber replacement ones. Contact Randy at Dixie Restoration Parts. He has black polyurethane ones. They are black and come with a tube of lubricant that works to get the new ones on. You still have to work at it but it's not too hard to get them in. I have them in my A12 and I'm pleased with them. I put a new set of poly's on my '69 'cuda a couple years ago. Found no way to get them together without cutting the bushing housing and re-welding. The poly bushings are harder and don't push around like rubber to force them in.

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave
