The exterior sport style are the type i'm looking at.Has anyone tried them? They look like the stems are shorter, but is the stem angle the same?

Don't know about those, but sport mirrors from a '70-'75 Frod Maverick will fit and have the right stem angle. The remote on the left side even fits the hole in the door, and the cable reaches around the glass in the door. The bezel has the same thread pattern as Mopars, also.

The mirrors will interchange however you will have to drill holes in the tops of the doors. The '71-'74 B-body mirrors were secured with two external screws, after '74 the mirrors were secured with a threaded nut and bolt assembly at three locations from the bottom of the mirror. If the passenger side is a remote the control will be located in the center of the dash at the bottom as opposed to the door. As a result the cable is longer, this can be modified however it isn't easy....

pedestals are a little bit shorter, so the cup will fit closer to the door top molding... but will fit. Pedestal shape is diff too.

Angle won't be a problem... they will fit like made to be there.

as stated, need to make couple of holes to the studs since they fit with nuts inside the door.

passenger side control wires will get you to have the joystick below the ashtray area. If you want it there will need some extra holes to get it there. I can't see a problem on that... of course just if you want.

I put a set from a Cordoba on my '71. The later ones fit more securely to the door and I like the right side remote where I can reach it from behind the wheel. It took a leap of faith to drill the passenger door, but I'm glad I did.
