That's interesting to know, was that a sister car to Roy Hill's? I can't remember if Hill's first tube car was a Hardy or a Ness but we can see Landy wasn't running the tube frame Dart sport quite yet. Wasn't this around the time they were trying to compete with the Hemis at 396 or 366 cubes, I know they couldn't really get the pre tube 72-early 73 era cars down that light. You see a couple of the older A bodies and even a few E's...I was still a kid (12) in 74 but I remember them running head to head at E-town, that was about the time when the Clevelands were kicking butt with the 6.75 lb/ci (canted valve) break and the Hemis were still at 7
Cubes aside boy you really see the mopars were at a huge MASS disadvantage to those Pintos and Vegas....I recognise a lot of the footage was from Shuffletown (RIP).
The left lane must have sucked that day...huh?
