The current record is 5.592 in the 1/8 on glare ice 
Don't feel bad I've had slow 59* stuff for over 10 years. This is my first 9 sec engine and it took almost 4 years to do.....

i still stuck with the 59* stuff, im very happy with my last results,i think iam not ready for the more exotic stuff that is out there.....i know how you feel with your new project...proud haa!!!
I'd still have 59* stuff if your neighbor Kelly didn't bend me over for over 6k... But then again there are alot of people on here that were taken by him

I'd still have 59* stuff if your neighbor Kelly didn't bend me over for over 6k... But then again there are alot of people on here that were taken by him

the airpocket that you keep having may be caused by the fitting right off the intake to the radiator, try and find a low profile fitting so it doesn't "pitch" the hose up higher then the radiator. after looking again, ditch the 45 and just use a 90 Looks good

Looks good
Looks can be deceiving...... 
After lots of brain stumping I started tearing it apart. Water pump was fine, drained the block, water manifold gaskets lined up perfect, but when I took the manifold off water came out. The heads also still had water in them. So I took the heads off................
Come to find out the gaskets don't have holes to let water into the heads I called some of my nascar connections and no one can match the part number up with the gaskets I have. So now I have the right gaskets on their way. We'll be back up and running by the end of the week.
The one thing I never thought to do was, match the gasket to the head as well. I just checked it on the block.
Lesson learned, the guy I bought the gaskets from isn't sure how I ended up with that part number lol....
