Yes everyone has had problems with them, most likely over hardened. Switch to Smith Bros or Mantons and it will go away.

do a search for BillyJay's thread a month ago.

I just bought the 295 ez kit, made three break in passes the weekend before the Bakersfield Pinks show. First qualifying pass it spit a push rod and of course I didn't get the two piece valley pan so we pulled the intake & head. It wore the cup clean off the top of the pushrod. I made one and made the second round of qualifying and ran a 10.50 the next round I broke again and found the exact same thing, The cup wore clean off. Called indy and was definatly not a Problem with thier kit??? I'm not a wizard at setting valves like some of the serious racers but I showed them to several builders and really dont have a good answer to it. I typically use the Mopar Performace chart to set lash. Good or Bad??
Also have been told the its because it revs too high. 470 b block stroker 7200 rpm through the lights. any feedback is appreciated.

I had indy make a set this spring, I have ran them all season in my pulling truck. I turn 7500-ish rpm for at least 15-20 seconds each pass and have had no trouble with mine. I thought someone talked about how they are assembled or how the rod is cut causing problems

Ran the Indy's in mine when I had a solid flat tappet cam. They seemed to hold up fine.

When I went with a Roller, I put in Smith Brothers Pushrods. After hearing all of the stories about the Indy Pushrods, I just didn't want to take the chance.
