So while that 8.38 was STOUT, I'm curious to hear CW tell us why he fell off to "only" a .65 in the 3rd round...

From DRC.....

"Westcott spun the rear tires about 15 feet out from the starting line."

thats correct - he spun hard about a car legnth out and then he got into that radial shake it seemed.

His father red lighted for an all barton finial, and there was no double red light finial.

my photo's show otherwise.

we just pulled in,,, id liked to thank bucky hess for all his work to get extra gifts and prizes for this dutch classic race.

i ran an 8.62 against charlies 8.40,, i think i slowed the car down maybe .02 by trying something who knows,, the run in the morning was my quickest but everyone else i think slowed up, i ran 8.592 with a 1.157 60ft,, i made progress...

that track was absolutley awesome,, my car went 1.15 and the 1.16 against charlie with the front tight and about 1 foot under the front tires and never hit the wheelie bars. im glad i went and will go next year as well, hopefully with more power..

just a guess, but when the front comes up in the run, wouldnt the neg camber come closer to zero, where you would want it. align it to where the ride height is during the run. i will let one of the drivers explain, but thats what i would think

Just want to say thanks for the heads up yesterday about Hemi shoot out. left here at 8:30 and I got to the stands just as the first pair were going down for last round qualf. Thay put on a good show just wish more could have made it. Boy Pancake must have a big following as there was a lot of cheering when he got the win over Westcott

a few cars have chutes on them,, a guy at the staging lanes told me to go look at the shut down before i ran implying it was short. i only ran 151, but i ran with charlie jr running 156,, didnt look like he had a problem stopping to make the turn,, i didnt either,, but again, i only ran 151.

i dont think nhra cares,, if you start running 160+ they might enforce that.

at the tech in,, they were checking for buldges in the inner fender for tire clearance that guys started doing a few years back,, but then they came out over last winter and said absolutely you could not do it, well there you were allowed to have a 1" hump,, they checked the shelf where the fender bolts on to the inner fender shelf and that had to be 3",, mine is stock and its 4",, just so anyone out there building a car knows what they were looking for..

I met Pancake a couple of times he seems like a really good guy. On the other hand the cheers were most likely because Charlie got beat. To say Charlie is a little cocky would be an understatement.
Unfortunately he does not know how to handle success with class.
It appears some of the others are starting to close in on CW. It will be interesting to see how he handles it when someone starts beating his car on a regular basis and he is no longer top dog?
