Our time shows 1.16 60 ft but if you watch the video and where near the line we belive we were tripping the 60ft lights with the rear tires. Both car we raced had 1.10 60ft times we were side by side each run. Front wheels come down just past the tree. We tried a NOS shots 2 qualifing passes at 400hp hit 7.96 & 7.97 bumped it to a 500hp hit (our index is 7.80) First race with a .001 light with a 7.84 time. Hit the rev limit at the 2-3 shift, planning to change 2-3 shift lower 200 rpm's. Have alot of tech info may help other's on getting to where we are.
Also we are running LADDER BARS on the car not a 4 link chassis!!! Still experimenting with the combination.
Thank's JIM & ALEX

OK, what sys are your using how much timing did you take out? And it's all one 500 shot from the gait? sheezzze Let her rip!!!

Ted,
We hit full off the line, right off the t-brake. Lauch at 5000rpm's. 15-33 slicks, 4.88 gear.
NX fogger system 28F-41N jets 91/4 fuel pressure.
Intial timing 34*
Two stage timing- first stage at 5100rpm's pulling 13* second stage at 6100rpm's take another 7* (20) total retard. Timing on NOS is 14* total down track. We are using MSD 7531 box.
Shift at 8300 go thur lights at 8500. Car will go faster with some tweeking. Last time out on 2-3 shift broke tires loose and hit 8900 rev limit. Will try lowering 2-3 shift.Plus track could have been better.
Engine info 496, 14.5cr,3.90stroke, preadtor heads, comp cam 114*, .880I .900E.
Thanks JIM

Cool car, always liked the Duster body. What does it weigh and why a 496 CI?
