Well,
One 478" and one 475" anyway

478 is a pump gas 4.15 stroke, hydraulic roller, edelbrock/MP aluminum heads, Diamond forged pistons, comp hydraulic roller, indy rockers, eddy thunder series 650 carbs, MP repro intake and is headed for a nice E body.

The 475 is a pump gas solid roller. 4.15 stroke, diamond pistons, comp solid roller, original iron heads, stock rockers, stock carbs and going back in a 71 hemi charger.

It should be a fun pair to compare

unless the hydralic cam is alot larger.
or the aluminum heads have alot of work done.
my vote is the solid cam 475" makes more pwer.
are those iron heads cleaned up?

Iron heads are fresh, but no clean up work on the ports. New guides, new valves, springs, locks retainers, etc... These aren't going to be big power engines. Drive-ability was a big concern. Both are 10:1 CR pieces. Camshafts are virtually identical (both very small) with one being a solid roller and the other a hydraulic roller.

they sound somewhat close to what I am building.

472 inch
Indy heads
stage V intake
600 lift solid roller 248 at 50
dick landy roller rockers

I am interested in seeing the power they make.
