All 4 lites do not lite. I have bat voltage at the dimmer when the headlamps switch is on. Is there a fuse or relay Im missing ?? ALL the wires in the car are new (MH) and the car was apart when I got it. ALL the other lites work ....but no headlites. I did try to bypass the dimmer. Any Ideas ???

Did you hook up the headlight grounds at the core support? If you did is the metal clean under them? Have you checked at the headlight bulb plugs for power? There is no fuse or relay that would cause this.

I have the ground wire at the core support hooked up and clean ground (marker lites work as do the front turn sig ) but no 12V at the red wire at the headlamps.

I bypassed the dimmer and I had 12v at the hot (green ) but when jump the green to red I get no volts at both ends of the jumper wire so the wire is grounding out someware. IM gonna break out my new Powerprobe in the am and try again.

There are three wires on the dimmer, One hot, one high beam. one low beam. Did you try going from the hot to both of the other two one at a time?

You have high resistance in the power circut.. when you apply an electrical load it pulls the voltage down to zero... try unplugging the headlights then rerun your voltage test... If you still have 12v with the dimmer jumpered look for a bad connection in the power circut...

headlights doesn't have really a fuse protection ( just the main fuse link )

The head light circuit is protected by a circuit breaker built into the headlight switch. Did the car ever have headlights? It could be the switch has gone bad.

If he gets power to the floor dimmer then the headlight switch is working.
