Has anyone ever dyno'd a motor with a stage V 2 fours intake and then the same motor with a rat roaster.

I acquired a rat roaster today and I have a stage V. I have about everything to build another motor and was wandering which would make the better numbers.

I think one of the pros is that the rat roaster uses a stock air cleaner.

Anyone?

That would be interesting to see how the old RR stacks up. I would guess the RR might be down as much as 10% (somewhat based on the Indy crossram vs. single Dominator and two 4bbls on the Indy TR tests). I would also like to see the EGT temps for each cylinder when comparing the intakes. I'm assuming we are talking about the two AFB inline RR.

That is what I got is the two four top. I also was told today that there were two or three different versions of the rat roaster. The later one had a divider in it from what I was told. Basiclly there is a wall right down the middle of it that seperates the right and left side.

Yep, one twin AFB, one Crossram Holleys and one single 4500 top. I think they all had different bottoms to correct for different fuel distribution problems.

The Stage V will out perform the RR. The RR has issues in getting the fuel down the runners. Without modifications, its probably about the lowest performance intake you could use these days.

Stage V will out perform the RR everywhere except at top end charge(above 7500 rpm)if jetting is correct. The RR is doggy even with modifications on low end and midrange,A single plane large volume intake and a dominator will out perform the RR with daul carbs.
