Could anyone that has any pictures of a 67-69 Barracuda or a Dart with the subject scoop please post them or pm me? I need some additional hood clearance and dont really want to put a pro stock or pro mod type scoop on this:

Thanks, I have it goofed up a little in that picture. We just redid the chassis and when I was messing around with the ride height, I have the back end up way higher than its supposed to be in that picture.

Here is another, if anyone has pictures of any other type scoops that are at least 5 inches high or so on this type of car throw it in there.

How close is your carb, sans filter to the scoop?

Well I havent finished the intake manifold yet. I have been looking at carbs or rons terminators. If I went with carbs and the current hood, the intake would have to be 7" tall from the top of the block and the tubes on the carb would be right against the hood scoop, this would make for an extremely small plenum. With the injection, I could go with about a 8" tall intake and the throttle body would be 2" below the scoop. Rons terminator bodies are 2 3/8 tall. The other problem is if I run dual terminators or carbs, I would have to lengthen the scoop back about 2" onto the cowl but pretty sure we could do it to make it look ok. Probably just need to give up and put a darn cowl, pro stock, or pro mod type scoop on it. Or I could get stupid and put a procharger on it lmao.

Thanks for the help.

I vote on the ProCharger, then sell me your car! Gorgeous Cuda!
I'm in the same boat, I love my 3" sixpac hood and I think it has the right look but I also think it's hurting performance.

Prosport, the procharger would make it interesting as I have a 604 with Stage V Millenium heads in the car now. Slowly accepting the fact I am probably going to have to suck it up and put a cowl hood on it. Found a few pictures from several years ago on here with a few Barracudas with cowl scoops that look good. Thanks to all for the compliments.
