If you plan on a total rebuild, or at least the top half, i'll almost garuantee the heads are cracked, they were on mine, so i trashed them & bought some complete new RHSs for 875.00 from hughes engines. The EQs might fit you better, they will give you more low-end torque, & like Patrick said on a re-grind.
One more thing i will add, the eddy RPM air-gap is 297.00 plus shipping, i bought the Crosswind (knock off) RPM air-gap from KMJ Perf., to my door for 189.00, even though its a china piece, its very nice, & is drilled to work on the Magnum & LA engines.
