I just installed ESPO xhd springs with 2" over std ride height. The car is a 72 barracuda with a MW 496, 4.30 gear, and 5600 stall. I did not use ss springs as I plan on putting a milder 440 in it this winter and using it for a steet crusier next summer. The car was running 11.50's with sagged out springs and air shocks and 1.66 60 foots(part throttle launch and alot of spinning). Will these springs wind up or will I have to add clamps to the front segments or will they work as installed?

Mine have the front clamped the way they came and 1 clamp on the rear. My best 60 ft was a 1.52 with my old 383.

Clamping the front doesnt hurt anything... only
stiffens the front from wind up(the rear segments are
your spring)
