I must admit I was somewhat skeptical that my car could pick up .2 by switching from alky to gas.
But after today I am a believer. First hit off the trailer on a hot greasy track went 7.85 @ 174!! 60' was slow at 1.13 but still equaled best 1/8 of 5.01 with 2 more mph.
Previous best was 7.97 @ 170 alky carb so a net gain of .12 and 4mph not too shabby. Good thing cause this race gas is gonna put me in the poor house
Looking for another .1 next week with shorter tire, these 34.5's are killing the slr
The alky is nice and consistant and runs cooler and costs less. So in a bracket car it's nice to run. But when you're not blown and looking for every last bit of hp, gas is the way to go.
