I was kidding. Hey, lets review what Dave predicted....

Quote:

I predict the best run that first test n tune day will be 7.50 @ 91 mph with a best RT of .075. Keep in mind, a brand new car is not going to run its best time right off the trailer. Plus, the weight of all those heavy, welded hood pins are going to slow it down.

Quote:

I'm factoring in new car bugs. Everyone dreams of everything working perfectly the first time out with a brand new car, but it seems that more often that not, that rarely happens. I'm just going with the odds. If you kill my prediction, I'll be among the first to congratulate ya.

Still, you had to have been proud to at least bring it to the track and drive it.
I'm sure you'll get those issues squared away, and lay down some good numbers next time.

well the 2 areas I was unsure of bit me I have taken new combo's to the track and actually won a race with one. but like you said the odds are against it.

Is that a Turbo Action valve body you are having issues with

Seriously congrats on getting it out there. I am sure you will get it all sorted out and working in no time. Good luck with it

maybe you should take up knitting

all this should have been sorted out in front of your neighbors houses

and i dont believe you needed to go into 3rd gear in the 1/8th so what did it run?

well those statements tell me you are a true testntune guru you can't tell squat about the carb issue with out putting it under load. it felt fine in the drive way with the tires spinning. the burnout even felt fine the first pass. I don't even know what it ran I didn't even get the time slip the second pass but I think my son said it ran a low 8 with just the second gear blast at near 90mph. first pass it never came out of 1st gear I think that was 9 something. maybe Woody remembers.
