I'm going to be in the market shortly to buy some tires for my 68 Road Runner. I'm still unsure whether I'm going to run Road Wheels or painted steelies with the dogdish cap set up. Probably the later since I have them already painted to match the car, but either way both will be 15" with the steelies being 15x5.5 and the road wheels would be 15x7. I'm looking at these:

I have a few questions for you guys. How do the repro bias plys make the car ride? Meaning, what are the characteristics of bias ply tires as far as sound inside the car, road handling (do they hunt for all the gorooves in the road), and overall wear. What is the difference between the F70 and the G70 series? Is it the width?
I know there is the option of the radial redlines, but I like the old school look of the classic tires but not sure how practical they would be for me. I don't plan on drving the car much so that's another reason I'm thinking the bias ply would be fine. Maybe a few thousand miles a year if I'm lucky. If money was not an option, I'd have a set of those for shows only and another radial set for everyday driving. But unfortunately the money tree I planted never sprung up.
I ask about the ride since the only car I have experience with in reagrds to having bias ply tires on them is my 56 Chevrolet Nomad. Now the car needs a resto, but I feel as though the tires are riding on train tracks and inside the car can be best described like the sound of trashcan on roller skates. They're pretty loud. But again, that may be other things I'm hearing so I wanted to hear how you guys would describe them for those that are running them on your cars now. Thanks!
Cheers
