I'm taking the int. apart on my car when I got to cleaning parts of the vinyl to keep as reference later i realized that the front seat isnt the same as the rear, paternwise.
I guess what i'm questioning is the front seat is it out of a roadrunner? secondly I'm certain its dated 1969 from what i can read on one of the belts on it, where as my others say 1968. and is the release on the side of the seat part of the upgraded trim offers?

thanks for your help
Josh

Thats what it sounds like. Sell it and get a 68/9 seat. The 70 will bring more $$ as it's a one year seat.

Your 68 seat should have the release down low. This allows it to catch on shoe laces and pant cuffs and trip you up as you exit the car from the back seat...don't ask me how I recently know this.

Is the seat the same size as the 68/9 one? The one or two times I used it to get into the back it was handy having it right there.
I'm not sure why my picture is an attachment instead of in with the post but, does the pattern date it? you can see a bit of the rear seat colors behind the front bench, I think that was the original one from my car.

Josh,
Your 68 appears to be a hardtop car, unlike mine with is a coupe or post car. Being a hardtop you should have the decor package giving the car the deluxe interior package. Mine is a very basic Road Runner without the decor package and having the standard interior. The code on the fender tag or at least what you have for the rear seat should give you an idea as to the interior for your car. I'm fairly certain the seats are the same size although the head rest configuration may be different between 68 and 70. I think for 68 you could option out either left or right or both. In 70 I'm not sure what you could order. Mine has no head rest at all...whiplash special...

Jim

Seat is the same size as a 68/9. Pattern I think may be a Sport Satelite. Here's what your pattern should be.

Originally i was going to post a pic of the rear seat cover but, with the luck I was having on that first pic I thought it would have ended up over in the ford forum, wouldnt want to disgrace the bird that way!
