On my 94, I want to relocate the battery to the bed but the nice factory positive cable has some other wires "built in" it and want to retain it. Of course it is way too short.

Is there any product that I could get that has a "Master Hot" terminal that I could place where the battery used to be where I can connect that factory hot to and a positive to the battery?

In other words, if I were to make a crude set up, I would get a piece of wood (for insulation) and attach a terminal stud that is long enough so that I could stack 2 battery terminal ends (one from the batery making that stud hot and the other the factory positive wire)

Make sense?

Here is a diagram. Click on the attachment because it doesn't look too good on this page.

They sell iso posts that you can screw down for a few bucks or you could just splice the wiring and shield it , the wood thing sounds kinda scary

Thinking about it, I could use a master battery cut off switch but just always have it "on"...

Both the Averger and the Sebring have there battery down in the wheelwell. The cables feed up to a pair of lugs under the hood. They have been like that for some time now. You could pick one up for next to nothing at a junk yard.

2002 Dodge Intrepid is the same way.

Try this part from Summit Racing. You could build a metal bracket and attach it to wherever you need it and drill the holes in it put the connectors through it and run your new wire.
