just put this intake on for my 581 hemi, MP crossram OFF and new offset INDY crossram intake ON, going with ol reliable carter carbs 750 cfm's got the Altronics O2 alert on and going to see how close my jetting is. trying .116 jet square with 6947 metering rods to start. better a little rich than lean. whata ya think? i heard 40 HP over the MP. thanks to arc for setting me up with the custom throttle linkage and carb linkage rod.

I'll bet you it is way to fat with that jetting on the Carter carbs, try 398(.098) in the front and 389(.089) in the back with a 16-51 or a 16-98 rod Don't do it in one change, try .003 to .006 diameter size change at a time until it starts to slow down after it goes the fastest or if it is on a dyno when it makes peak power and starts to drop off That jetting suggestion is based on both carbs working on a one to one on the the linkage, not progressive linkage.EDIT. BTW, the fat jetting your trying probally will work on the Eddy carbs, maybe even on the Carter smog carbs but not on the competion series 750,IMO

CAB, we are running at sealevel 1st, all the wedges we are running now are .116 and .113 jets with 6849 metering rods with peak performance, i was thinking the hemi might want some more jet, just not sure. going to see what altronics O2 alert says after 1st run. this is going to be interesting to say the least. obtw , if you get a chance id like to see those pictures of your wall mounted slicks. thanks.

I had .116 jets on all eight holes when I ran a rat roaster with two chokeless 750 eddies on my hemi, and it was always lean. Went 11.90's at 116 first time out with virtually no tuning, but plugs were white. I did eventually drill out the squirters which helped on the launch. At the time, they didn't make any bigger jets or squirters for them and I was stuck trying sizes by drilling them out. My engine was only 431 cubes. IMHO, yours will need bigger carbs.
Also, that Indy set-up was shown on a wedge as 40-50 loss compared to a big single plane or tunnel ram. I like the looks of them, but my vote would still be for a dominator on a single plane. Still looks very cool though.
