Hey guys, I was just taking a look at the intake I have for my 413 and was curious about its early build date. Its number is 2264877 which is the correct number for a 1959-61 dual quad 413 intake. Here's where I get curious, the casting date on the intake is 11 8 7. Which is Nov 8, 1957. Has anyone else seen such an early casting date for a 413 part? The casting date is definately a 7 also not a 2.

Here is mine,7-27-1.It is off a 62 300H.Any chance the 7 may be a 1? First passenger car 413 with 2x4 was 59 300E.Your's seem to early even for that.I don't think there was even a marine 2x4 application until the 60's.

I'll wager it is a foundry screwup, the worker probably used a 7 instead of a 1.

I'm not positive, but I seem to recall that intake was available over the counter well into the late 60s. Perhaps it was a 67 casting........

I guess it probably was either as above; factory screw up or over the counter. It just had me wondering since 59 was 1st year I thought.
