James Monroe started me out w/ the old 470ci using 37 nozzles and 87 pill. Ran a best of 9.70 which was off 1.5 tenths from best on Gas... Best 1/8 mile on gas was 6.0 w/ 1.32 60 foot and on Alcohol we ran 6.25 but spinning w/ 1.38 60 foot. Then blew up the motor. New 540 Alum low deck shortblock with 15 to 1 compression and James sent me some 38 nozzles to start with. Maybe you could try one size larger nozzles to get the pill into the 80's ???? Good luck Ted! Arnie

The alky tune can vary a lot in different combo's, so take other user's tune only as a rough idea. I really like to have more data to make a decision, like back to back test passes with different main return pill sizes, EGT, or wide band oxygen sensor A/F numbers. Your actual pump size and flow/pressure make a difference.
The high speed bypass is adjustable both in pressure (spring preload) and pill in the high speed. I have mine adjusted to start to crack open at 77 psi (with a leak down tester on the bench) and use a 0.050" pill in the high speed. IMO, you likely don't open the high speed bypass much in the 1/8 mile if your rpm is below 7000. On my wide band data log, I see the effect of the high speed starting at the 1/8 mile, but I shift at 6500 and trap at 6900 (1/4 with E85).
Again, every combo's tune is different, but FWIW when I was running alky, I had a Ron's 0-1/2 vane pump, 0.033" nozzle jets, 0.098" main return pill. This gave me an A/F ratio of 12.3 on the gasoline scale (lambda=0.836). Without the high speed bypass it was going richer to 11.2 at the finish line, but with the high speed it stays 12.3 after some fine tuning of the pressure spring. For example with out the high speed, after the high gear shift it would be 12.3, at the 1/8th it would be 11.9, at the 1/4 it would be 11.2 (7200 rpm on alky). 5psi made a difference on the high speed setting.
On E85 on have the high speed adjusted to 80 psi, 0.026" nozzles, and a 0.102" main return pill...

I am not sure on my nozzle size will have to check the paperwork?
Just pull the hose off one nozzle and remove the nozzle jet. It will be stamped with the size. 35 is very common, but I have seen many with 33-40.
You can get the same fuel flow from different size nozzles by adjusting the main return pill. But they will have other effects due to the pressure difference. ie a high pressure small nozzle and a lower pressure larger nozzle at the same fuel flow to the engine.

My Dakota running 113 mph in the 8th mile at 3300 lbs liked a 37 nozzle and a 94 bypass pill.
