Okay, I have brand new seat covers, both front buckets and the rear bench. I also have a new seat bun set for the front buckets. My seats are original 70's with the worn and brittle original upholstery. What would you think is a reasonable price to have the seats done? I'm guess some new padding would be needed on the rear bench but the front buckets should just be a remove and replace operation. Thanks for your thoughts.

I bought a complete interior for my 72 Challenger
from year one. The door panels came from a different
source, like Sherman, but not sure. My seat foam
was good and the center auto was in good condition.
If you can find foam, just put the seat covers
on yourself. Cut the new foam with a bread knife.
Just copy the old seat foam. Turn the seat cover
inside out and slip them on and hog tie them.
Year one sent directions on the seat covers and
on the head liner. Everything went fairly easy
just took some time. I think the door panels and
all the Year One stuff was around $1400 back in 2001.
A local shop wanted $2000 to put the stuff
I bought, in the car. For 2 G's I would try it
myself. It wasn't all that hard.

I'm sure prices have gone up. But I had exactly what you're asking done for $250 (maybe 8yrs ago)

2 front seats and both back seat sections.
Remove and replace covers.
I delivered and picked up the parts, he didn't have to deal with removal and replacement.

For someone who knows what they're doing this is probably a 4-6hr job? At $75/hr it works out to $300 - $450 maybe?

If money wasn't an issue you wouldn't be asking so......anybody can do the rear seats, they are simple, all you need is a warm day, hog rings and hog ring pliers. Local prices will vary but try to find a small upostery shop, I was able to get mine done for $200, I supplied the covers and foam.

Really? I figured the rear seat cover would be the more difficult one since I was NOT providing the padding (buns). I spent so much money on these covers, I just want them to look perfect.
