Lots of choices, I like the Autolite AR3911 and AR 3910, other guys on here like the 3923 and 3922 champion C63Y and C59Y is a good choice also, probally harder to get now NGK has a large selection also depending on which type end you want, extended gap or flush gap. I like extended gap, puts the spark into the hole
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

got pretty much same setup as you NGK 5672A-8 for flat top pistons NGK 5671A-8 for dome pistons.
IMO nothing else works like a NGK.

That is good advice, and a 493 at 12.0 CR is likely flat top. With that much cam duration, "low" CR, and aluminum heads, you can even run the cheapo NGK BCP7ES or BCPR7ES. They aren't race plugs, but I ran them at 12.2 CR (but the -8 race plugs are fine too).

Jim, i use the BP7ES NGK plugs in my 581 hemi with 11.7 compression, they work great as well.

NGK all the way! Ask the guys that stand around a dyno all day and I bet that's the answer you get--Extended whenever you can!
