Their website only has one picture and it looks like the scoop gets wider as it goes back towards the windshield. Does anyone have one of these that can tell me for sure the width of the scoop, front and back? And how far over the cowl does it hang? FWIW, I need a Duster one. Not sure if B or E body scoops would be the same dimension?

Thanks in advance for any help!

How is the quality? I really like that cowl design without the crease up the center.

The 6 pack hood on my Valiant is an AAR and the quality is awesome. I'm going to have carb/air cleaner issues with it though, so I'm looking into a taller cowl hood.

I run one in my truck. I think it is a decent product and has not caused me any problems. My paint guy said it needed minimal prep.

In terms of it actually working to force air into the carb, aren't they pretty much useless unless they are within an inch or so of the windshield glass? From the looks of it, most cowl scoops don't really do that, so where's the benefit - underhood clearance?

Not to rain in anyone's parade, but I could never see the growing fascination with these things. Forget about them looking out of place on a Mopar - most don't appear to provide anything but carb underhood clearance unless they are specifically designed for a particular cowl area, and from the look of it, most aren't - they stop right at the rear hood opening, which on a typical A or B body is a few inches shy of where it needs to be.

I know the typical Mopar styled offerings have their shortcomings but at least they do ram some air down the carb.

I personally think they look great on Mopars, and some of us can't run a forward facing scoop. But then again what do I know.

I think they look good on a mopar. Forget about the BS that Mopars never came with cowls, so what they look good and are race derived. The "growing fascination" comes from certain racing associations that don't allow forward facing hood scoops. Not all body styles get away with it, but the Demons and Darts look evil

They do need to be close to the windshield to work though. Mine works. CHIP

The AAR tapered cowl is deffinitly but to fit my Charger it would have to be 6' long and probably 3' wide at the back. My 6" from VFN looks deadly on my car IMO event though it looks smaller then that.

Some nice COWL hoods here, lol. I looked into Glasstek too. But I can't justify the fact that they want $650 for a Duster 4" cowl, when my friend bought one from them for his Nova for $330 We get screwed enough on parts all ready. At least AAR's is under $500.

That comment should not be lost on anyone. And nice car, I like the dedicated parking spot

I have heard this comment before about waiting time from AAR I guess I was lucky or something I ordered a deck lid,fr and rear bumpers, hood,L&R fenders and a fr lower valance from Alan over the phone told him the date I needed it all by which was 2 weeks later and he had every piece waiting on me on that very day for pick up and the finish is great every thing but the rear bumper was sand with 400 and prime and paint no prep work needed and the rear bumper only had a few small pin holes.
