What was the application for this floor mounted cassette/recorder. I am in need of one for my 71 bird w/o console and was given this. I does not fit it but was wondering what the original app was and is any of it usable for my application. Also what does P/N 3501634 radio fit. Thanks for your help.

BigMoneyLewis should be able to help with that one. I'm thinking the 71 B body units should be the same as the E body units. That looks like a non-console version. I think there are some font differences between the years. Why doesn't it fit in the car? Is the bracket too tall or something?

Their is a difference in the brackets, pedastals between the console and floor mount . The player itsself is of course the same 71-73 B, E, C (A) bodies.

# 3501634 Is a '73 B body AM FM stereo, but of course fits all 71-74 B body applications.
