If you use a aftermarket block, it makes it slick, and you dont need that leak prone milodon center section. You just need the oil pump cover with a single fitting for a single line. This lets you use your standard length oil pump shaft and gear setup. Then on a duel line setup One line runs from the block port (near timing chain cover) to the pickup. and you already have the other coming from the oil pump cover. This duel line system is great and feeds about any engine. Its not expensive, cause all your out is the pump cover, and the lines/fittings, but this is on the aftermarket blocks. So If I was going to use a single line system with a stock block.... I would just by the pump cover, probably by it separate from Milodon, or Muscle Motors has a nice one also. Use a stock HV oil pump, use your current bronze gear, which that save a bunch of money not needing to buy another. Buy the static pickup from 440Source. Its a large pickup. And install it in a standard pan. The Indy pump cover is nice but over priced IMO, I ran it, and it was a nice piece...but was like $225 just for the pump cover.
Hemi block oil port (World Block)
looks like a nice iron block with that port for external pickup!
