was there a difference in color in the woodgrain between 68 69 and 70? My bezel matched the panel over glove box very well. Panel had some small cracks. Got anothere one looks great but woodgrain appears darker then the orignal. Now my radio bezel doesn't match. Were they different?

yes. 68 lighter.

Thanks. Guess i'll have to see if anyone has a 69 radio bezel for sale or swap. Maybe some body has a dark one with lighter panel over glove box that would be interested in swapping?

Also note that the '70 radio has regular knobs instead of thumbwheels, unless you have the 8-track.

Mine is AM radio no 8 track. Guess that narrows it down to a 69 radio bezel. Or swap over glove box panel for a 68? The one i have must be 69 or 70 darker then radio bezel. Very nice shape no cracks. Shame it doesn't match.

The 68 and 69 are in fact different .One has lettering, one does not. The 70, as mentioned above is a knob style bezel , and not a slick face like 68-9.

No lettering on mine. I have had a couple of 69's in the past and i don't remember them having any lettering? I have seen the lettering on R/T's but not in a GTX. But none were new cars and things do get changed over time.
