I have a chance to pick up a motorhome 440 and 727... I know the 440 is the same as all the others, but what is the difference of the 727 compared to a b or e body unit? It is a 1975 model.
Thanks

my 79 440/727 was a short shaft bolt on yoke trans,yoke has a u-joint 4" across and 1 1/4" round caps

the tranz mount was 5" from case and car/truck 727 are 7" from case

the speedo plug was in back of the mount on it,others are in front of it

I used a 85 tranz mount with some flat stock welded up for it,bolted it right up on the 85 frame

my z-bar needed to be lowerd some to be level across from the frame, the ear on the trans seems to be in the correct spot,I think, but dont know why I had to lower the bracket tha bolt to it for the z-bar

my 440 had the front sump pan which I need to swap to a rear sump truck pan

car will need the center sump car pan,IIRC it will need a pan with a notch in it for the steering...maybe

dont think it will have the bolt bosses on the 727 tail shaft housing bottom for floor shift in the cars
