is this a tube frame deal? My car has a FE from Alston, they make it for both round tube and square tube. It's an A-arm setup with a pinto style rack.

When I built mine in 2002 I use an A arm pinto style ft suspension . This style suspension really makes it easy to work on Plugs ,starter, headers etc. The headers had to be made, but worth in the end. See if i can find some pics for you.
Thinks Jim and Paul... I haven't got the motor out yet to look things over, but its going to be a interesting build. Here is what I'm starting with.I'll wait for some pictures and then I would like to ask you guys some questions. Thank Walt

Walt, How bought making an Alterkation front end fit, buy your back half kit, and have a chassis shop tie it all together with a certified cage? It may be kinda pricey but may save alot of work and frustration. But I've never done any of this so I'm clueless. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

I'm will be getting you some pictures real soon ,have been building a new house and work is wide open, but the engine will be pulled soon to be some updating on combination and will be able to get you some pretty detailed pictures then. The pics I had before are lost and I'm sure you will like the new ones soon ,but the car does still have the factory strut tower, the front tube off the cage passes thur the tower and tries into the front clip and the strange strut attaches to the bar up top and uses a viper control arm on the bottom ,which attaches to the bottom part of the bottom rail rails which try in also up front below the top bars but you will be able to see and tell so keep watch in a week or so and I'll make sure to pm you also, may also have the car up for sell soon rolling chassis but it going to be priced in the 30's STILL CHEAPER than you can built these days.SORRY FOR THE DELAY..

we're turnin it into a big block (hopefully), back halved, street/strip car. The biggest problem we're having is how to change the front suspension and still use the stock shock tower locations if possible.....just lookin for pictures and ideas from people that know of or have done this kind of thing before so we don't cut out or get rid of anything and regret it later.

no, wanting to put an aftermarket strut set-up in the place of a stock strut set-up and have somewhere to mount the lower portion of the strut and engine, a big portion of the existing K frame(if that's what you would call it) will have to be cut out to clear the transmission, trying to stuff a V8 in it and make it look as stock as possible,,,looking toward's street/strip. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/apimp.gif)

Yea ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif) Is the trans any good? Cant tell from the motor but it looks like you made a wise choice on the rebuild/racecar ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) Cant wait to see it run. Greg

Ok guys ,stayed home today to tear the old car down.Got some pictures coming tonight .will post them tonight.I took the drivers side strut out of car to get better pictures with the top piece that is made to bolt the strut into the strut tower. Also took the frame rail pictures and how it is run in the car.Keep up with it tonight ,I have been to busy with other cars to work on my own ,but decided to take a day for me and try to get some things done at the house.

ok guys here are the pictures, let me know if you have any questions.all these parts were made by Ed Quay .I'm going to talk to fab shop tomorrow and see if he can make these pieces .but hope this helps you.if you aren't running a series the easiest thing to do is do a arm setup from one of the chassis shops that sell them,My car has to have a stock firewall and run the type suspenion it came from the factory with.I have two things weighing right now do I sell her rolling and build a new car the way it needs to be or cut this one and put the 25-2 chassis in it.I love the car ,but hate to tear apart now ,but something got to give.

thanks Jimmy for the pictures.... but you didn't have to tear the whole car apart. I have a question on this picture here where the round tubing is connected to the square tube. is the square tuging welded between the floor pans or under the floor pans.I also like the way they ran the tubing for the steering.I want to thank you for all the pictures on here. it gives me some ideas on which way to go. I just want you guys to know that I really appreciate the help and the pictures. When and whenever I get started I will be posting everything here. So if you guys want to talk about AVENGERS posted it here. Walt ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)
