If I turn the distributor in the direction of the rotor rotation in a small block will that advance or retard the timing?

Turning the distributor housing in the SAME(clockwise) direction will RETARD the timing.

I know but for some reason I had clockwise/counter clockwise in my hed. CC for BB and CW for SB. Again Think I will go back out and clean corral for a while. Maybe I can do that right.
