Hello, I posted this over in the general section but will hopefully get more replies over here. I finally bought a dragcar a 72 Dart with a warmed up 318 and I'm having a blast. But It has points and I did have some issue's with it. I'm thinking of doing the pertronix conversion for right now. looking for some input good or bad.

FBO ignition kit, I've not used them but a lot of people i know have and speak highly off them.
There's a member on here who sells their stuff, i think it's Dave 571.

Pertronix works very well.Neighbor has them on his Studebakers.Get the Ignitor II kit.

If it were me,I would just wire in a Chrysler electronic ignition.

I put a Pertronix kit on a friend's '69 road runner, nice kit and works good. I like my MSD stuff though. CHIP

I used the Ignitor Petronix kit for this Accel Duel point Dist. Its a great option, and works with the Aftermarket MSD box's also. These old dist can still be found fairly cheap, and I wanted the added look of Nostalgia for my car. Of coarse hidden under the dash will be the MSD 7 box.
The kit was about $90 IIRC. And works well if your wanting to do something like I am, or want to keep the original numbers dist.
If your not worried, it might be cheaper, if you scrounged the junk yard for a late 70's early 80's electronic system. Stay away from the lean burn stuff.

Go with a OEM Mopar electronic igntion. Parts are readily availble and get the parts to do it at the local parts house and the local bone yard for the plug in.

I don't sell the FBO stuff anymore.

It is decent. Based on oem, so you can always sub in stock stuff if it breaks down.

What's nice, is you can have don curve you a distributor at the same time, so you know you have it all matched.

If the motor has any knid of cam or other mods, the recurve is well worth the money
