When I removed the cap on the gas tank of my '67 Fury I got a whoosh sound. The tank has three tubes coming from it. One is the fuel line going to the engine of course and the other two I think are vent tubes. One tube is fairly short and hooks up and clips to the body. The other tube goes up onto the trunk floor and goes into the drivers side frame rail.
My question is the whoosh sound that I heard. It was quite warm out but I wouldn't think that there should be pressure in the tank if the vents are properly working. Does this sound like the vent tubes are plugged? Thanks for any info here.
John

I have seen the vent tubes pluged before,so it is quite possiable. It doesn't take much to clean them out so I would do thet and see.
