After finally completing the 528" Friday night, went up to Barona Saturday night for some testing. Made 3 passes, 1st pass 6.10 @ 111 with a 1.31 60ft, 2nd pass 6.09 @ 112 with 1.32 60ft and 3rd pass 6.07@112.8 with 1.32 60ft. We didn't do any tuning yet, so I'm pretty sure there a couple more hundredths in it. Overall, very please with the way the sled ran. Previous best was a 6.32 but that was only a 500 c.i.

It is a 528" world block, 4.50 bore with 4.15 stroke, around 14.5 to 1 compression. Ross gas ported piston with the light tension ring pack. Scott Brown roller cam, 720/705 lift with 276/284 @ .050 and 113 lobe separation. Indy SR head ported by Brian at IMM in Indio. Pro System build 1150 cfm carb. 727 tranny with 4.56 gears. This combo is pushing 3100 lb Duster down the track pretty good.

Ted, We were still fighting a vacuum pump problem, obviously got it figured out, so it was Saturday. Sorry I missed you up there. RJ told me about it. Nice work

Nice going. Adding those 28 cubic inches did its job. It must feel good to run the new motor too. A successful outing.
Is that cam lift with 1.5 or 1.6 ratio? I bought a used SB roller cam very similar (but not exact). 278/284, 0.460"/0.450" lobe lift (0.690"/0.675" with 1.5), 113 LSA. I have a flat tappet solid lifter cam in my engine right now( 279/287, 0.433"/0.420" lobe lift, 110 LSA).

So was I, looking forward for a very long time but it sure felt good getting that first pass under the belt.
Was this motor ran on a engine dyno before putting it in the car? If not it will be interesting to see how many runs it takes before settling in and stop speeding up and getting quicker, breaking in all the way in other words Good results, what is the track elevation at Barona?

Cab, Actual altitude is 1650' but we never get to see a DA even close to that. Best DA I remember there was around 2500'.
