Here are some pictures of my Grandpa's 1937 Dodge Truck that he used on the farm back in the day. Do you guys think its saveable? I was thinking about putting it on a Dakota frame. Lots of metal work there but that is what i like to do.

I'd do it (but then I am doing a 37 Dodge trcuk....at least as soon as I get my current project done).

I'd for sure grab it out of there! If you get the dash cleaned up, can you post a better picture of it? It looks strange to me. I thought these trucks had 3 gauges in the das. I see only two, plus the Dodge emblem. I have two of these cabs and both dashes look way different than this...just curious. Thanks

As far as i know, going by this website http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/history/segment4.html the dash is correct for 1937. Maybe your cabs are an early build, it mentions in the article that the dash was new for 1937, so who knows when the change over was made.

I too am rodding a 37 truck. It also came from Minisota. Mine has a factory 9 foot box. I stubbed a 86 Dakota front end, boxed the frame, and used a 8 3/4 rear end out of a c body. I've got some extra parts that I'm not going to use. I've also repoduced the door hinge bolts if any body needs some let me know. Doing one of these old cars or trucks is a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun too! If you need any info email me at justnuts40@hotmail.com Good luck, Tony

What is the bolt pattern of the original rims? It looks like they fit your Dakota front end, so in that case are the 1937 rims 5x4.5?

I need to get a Dakota first, get it stripped down to the frame, then get the body off the 37 so i can set it right on the Dakota frame. I live in the city and dont have much storage space.
