I was not planning too, but Summit sent me a "B" pan instead of a "RB" pan and I was planning to get the 440 running this weekend. Seems all the parts stores in my area do not have an "RB" one. So.. do you think I could use the old one or just wait till I can get a new one.
Thanks.

Is this being used on the same engine/heads/intake ? .. no problem. But I would use that spray copper-coat.

Yep
That brush on Indian head stuff works great in this application.

Like Doc said, as long as it's going back on the same heads and block, then I'd reuse it. I've done it MANY times. CHIP

Those of you using them over and over, do you have additional intake gaskets on there or just the valley pan? My Dad uses thin intake gaskets on top of the valley pan.

Don.

Bump for an answer; I'd like to know that one too.

Of course, I just threw away a gasket I could have re-used last week, because I didn't know that it could be got away with...

Seduce the attractive, and charm the rest. ****** 489 C.I.D., roller cam, aftermarket heads, tunnel ram, stock '54 Dodge rear axle assembly: which of these doesn't belong?

Using the gasket and pan over is not a problem as long as the manifold is contacting the gasket evenly If the gasket looks like it has contact on the top or bottom and not on the opposite side then you need to increaase the gasket thickness or have the intact manifold cut so it contacts the gaskets evenly all the way around, not just at the top or bottom I have also reused the pan and the pan and gaskets, especially when I could still buy Hylomar to coat them with
