Do you guys even know what size tire he runs?
It's only a 10.5, it's barely hitting the quarters so they're doing some preventive maintenance here.

Plus not everyone has a mega-dollar car and perfectly prepped tracks. If my 10.5's don't start hooking soon I'll be bolting on some steam rollers.

It looks good so far Rick and Bob, I'm headed out this evening to get my new Phoenix 10.5's mounted and balanced!

If you can't hook what you got with a 10.5 you need to find a new hobby. And anybody who cuts up a perfectly good e-body for a little tire rubbing is out of their mind in my book. Thats whyc rubber hammers were invented.

Soooo you'd rather them beat on it than cut it.. Not like it can't be put back. If he's anything like me I doubt that his going to get rid of the car anytime soon.

the car has been back halfed for years with 2x3 frame rails and a alum floor from the fire wall back, so i wouldnt say we are cutting up a prefect car.

i already took the to the quarters for the rubbing a little alter on the quarters and some fresh paint and she will be good as new

Cut away. some like stock some like bigger tires I like the look of big meats on a car. If everybody ran the sime size and look it would be boring. I do not think any less or more of a person if they if they cut thier car or not. It is suppose to be about building a car you like for yourself and enjoing it.

OT but when is someone going to make a "stock suspension" leaf spring only class? There would be some pretty cool iron out there other then all the Chevy powered Mustangs and F-bodies.

Why cut the quarters when there are guys running 8's on 275's????

Yeah, 8.75 one round, 9.50 bouncing off the guard rail next round, ect, ect, ect.
As far as cutting it, it's already cut and basically value less. Who cares? It is what it is.

Cut, chop, rebuild. What's the problem? I could see a problem with a numbers matching E body street machine, but not for a street/strip car.

Being from Anoka Co, MN....You probably know that we have replaced just as much E body sheet metal as we have cut.

Actually, the fenders on my car came from Don. But only Big Daddy can say something is gay, and get away with it.

Just got done installing new shocks and tires tonite, old shocks were cheap and the old tires were completely shot, plus I only have 3 1/4 mile passes on this motor. Should hook now but if it doesn't I'll take up Bird Watching again.

Rick I agree you should chop the top on that thing next.
