Let me first say I love your car...

Second, I'll bet it is BEGGING for more converter. A 451 with .580"+ lift and 4.10's you probably want a 10" in the 3500 4000 stall range. The full exhaust and factory heads will keep the rpm ceiling down, but loosening up the converter some will pay back dividends.

But remember, he has to run on firehawk street radials.I just had my street Charger out and was just starting to slip them with a 3500 and 3.23s (295/50). At 14.0/100. My Race car right now is turning 12.40 at 106 with my buddys stock 440.

Thanks for your interest guys.

RemCharger, what kinda tires are on that 12.40 ride?
67 Charger, I like your car too . I am not sure if a 10" con. will help because the local track´s surface is a handful for the current combo. I have been experimenting with different weights in the rear this summer. This car likes to be heavy in the back.

470bee here is my combo. It is a testament to my eccentricity:

-Muscle Motors 451 stroker kit (440 crank, Ross pistons, Cat H-beam rods)
-Childs & Albert file to fit top rings. Hastings oil rings
-Stock Edelbrock heads.
-10,69:1 CR
-Competition Cams flat tappet, .585" lift. 255 degrees @ .050"
-Crane Ductile Iron rockerarms
-Isky springs, 135 pounds seat pressure
-Carter mechanical fuel pump
-Edelbrock TM6 manifold
-Holley 850 HP carb.
-MSD Pro Billet distributor međ MSD 6AL, MSD Pro Power coil
-Fluidampr
-TTI headers
- 2 1/2" exhaust with Straightline 2 1/2" mufflers
-Mopar Performance HV Oil pump with 1/2" pick up
-Mopar Performance windage tray w. Moroso deep sump oil pan.
-MP Aluminum water pump

Trans:
-727with 11" TCI converter 2800-3000 stall
-B&M Transpack
-B%M flexplate
-Locar kick down

Rear:
-8 3/4 Powerlok SG with a 4.10:1 ratio.
-Stock shocks and original HD springs

Front:
-6 cyl torsion bars
-Stock, well worn shocks

Tires rear:
Firestone Firehawk true radials, 15 x 10"

Thanks again for your kind words fellow racers

D Red: Hockey exists but is primitive compared with U.S. standards, but we have lots of excellent Icelandic beer to make up for subpar hockey. If you drink a lot of it, then watching Icelandic hockey becomes tolerable.

The strip is located in a lava field in the suburbs of Reykjavik. Built in 1976 it was the first drag racing course built exclusively for quarter mile racing in Europe. Before that all drag strips in Europe were abandoned airports. The track record is 6,99 sec.

BenCharger, I sure would like to see the recipe for those wheelstands
