No specs on the motor, Probably a pretty mild 383, big car and Boise is an NHRA factored track. AKA its at altitude. My car lost 4 tenths between Seattle and Boise. According to NHRA the factor is .9679 to convert the time to sea level.
12.2 x .9679 = 11.80

12.20's isn't wrong. It's the $17,500 to get a car that runs 12.20's. THAT is WRONG!! Even if it DOES go 11.80's @ sea level, he's high. (high on the price, too... )

He's thinking that there's something in the rarity of the car. If the bodywork is bad he may be mistaken on that as it's expensive and/or time consuming to fix. You can get a 95 Mustang V-8 for a song and a dance and make it run that number for less than 5 grand total but then when it's all said and done you have a common, run of the mill racecar that's about worthless.
