so 10 years ago I found a 66 Hemi car in western NJ. The ad for the car read as this: 66 Plymouth, 16000 miles, auto, odd engines must go asking 16k. So I drove out to western NJ up this winding road to a small barn. I met the seller and he opened the door to the barn. In side was this 66 Plymouth in this nasty orange paint riding on crager s/s wheels and M&H cheaters slicks in the rear. At first I thought it was a 361 engine until I looked under the hood, they she laid a hemi. The owner fired up the beast and you could tell this hemi was slightly work. As the car was running I checked the vin and other areas to see if this was in fact a real hemi car. Everything check out, this was the real deal. Deal was made and the car became mine. I drove the car for the first year, just to have fun. The next year we started all the work. The goal was to restore the car back to how is was, and of course the correct GG4 green . Well the body was rest free and in great shape. I had many set back restoring this car but with the help of my family and friends we finished the car up
Here are some pics of before, during and today.

Beautiful! Even 10 years ago, that was a heck of a find. Glad to see it's been restored, and I like the non-stock touches.

Great looking car! I am in the process of doing a '66 Hemi Belvedere II right now. Any tips and tricks that you can share would be much appreciated.
I think that you have a very nice stance to the car. What sizes are the tires you are running in front and in the back? Did you have to mini-tub it or modify the rear wheelwells?

I thought about painting the car black or some other color. In the end I went with the factory color of the car. In person the paint really pops and everyone that has seen the car loves the color.
Really how many green cars do you see at a show or cruise nite.....not many
