I was working on the over head door today...got it
all installed and was setting the counter springs at
the top....I was sweating big time in the heat...so
the wife and I decided to go pickup the graphics for
the floor and cool down...well at the graphics shop
my chest started feeling weird, well on the way home
I told the wife to head to the hospital(things werent
feeling good at all)... well I had another heart attack...
All they did this time was do the balloon job on
the bad point(99% collapsed... I guess this was my
by-pass that collapsed)...so hopefully I can escape
in a day or two.... damn bad plumbers, whats the
warranty

I thought I was indestructable Raff but it appears I have nothing on you. Like the others have said, it's great you noticed something wasn't right and made the right call.

Get well soon Mike, I'm glad you recognized the symptoms and got to the hospital.

I'm just glad I decided to go with you to the decal shop 'cause you were in NO condition to be driving by the time we got to the hospital. And, I'm grateful your cardiologist was in the hospital performing an angio on someone when we got there. I've never seen them fix you up so quickly! We left the house at about 12:30, we hit the decal shop, you had your attack, we got to the hospital & they had you fixed by 2:23 pm. I think Crittendon has their process down pat.

For all you guys who think Raff has no heart, here's proof he does....

And after:

Good morning dear, by the times on your posts, it looks like you didn't sleep through the night so give me a call when you're awake for the day. If I don't answer, it's cause I'm in the shower. BTW, it's Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma but we'll excuse you for the spelling since you're separated from your "spell-checker"...LOL. I'll see you in a few hours, technically, I'm not allowed in there to visit until Noon anyway. Love ya!

Mike, have you ever thought of hiring your cardiologist as your crew chief? You can teach him so much about Mopars, and in exchange he can keep a keen eye on you. I hope it is smooth sailing from now on.

Basically I have completed the hard work(minor adjustments
on the overhead door springs) then its on to the electrical
and the epoxy flooring.... both minor things when
it comes to serious manual labor... then its build
my office/clean room in there.....I dont escape from
here till tomorrow.... I'll take it easy but I have
work to do
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement from all
of you

By the looks of the pics that the Mrs. posted, one of your Docs fixed you up with some coat hanger wire and left it in there, you might be able to get a little refund
Get well soon.

Sorry to hear this..........we only get one shot at this game of life so go easy so you can enjoy the rest of yours. You know a lot of my friends go out and party most of the week, eat junk food, don`t excersize or take nutrients and wonder why they feel bad(not that you do this)and call me a freak cos I work out 4-5 days a week, take 9-pills a day and drink very little alcohol. Our health is a one-time-shot and even though we cant turn back the clock we can still salvage what we`ve got....Good luck, the shop will be waiting for you when you return.

I'm also glad you caught it in time Mike. You're one of the guys on this board I look up to the most.

On a side note, what are the signs to look out for?? In other words, how did you know you were having a heart attack and not just some heart burn.

Experience.... I started having pressure in the chest
and then left arm started going numb then the chest
pressure got progressively worse.... jaw started hurting,
I cant say that I was having a shortness of breath
or if it was just me breathing in short amounts to
make it hurt less..... the attack yesterday was
without a doubt the worst I have had... by the
time we made it to the hospital I barely made it
out of the Jeep without passing out..... I WANT OUT
OF HERE, I have things to do

Mr.P get well, I am glad you did not ignore your symptoms. As a newcomer I have many more dumb questions that will need answers. I appreciate the help you have given me already. Galen

with the fumes you should maybe have some1 do the floor for you.how was the food. tasteless i bet.

The food is the usual gummer food... it all taste
the same. I have fans to place in the doors to evacuate
the fumes so I'm not too worried about that. I have to
check the pot life to see how much time I have to
play with it but I should have plenty of time

Mike, take care of yourself & don't try to do too much when you get out. You need to take it one day at a time, that shop will be there when you feel better. I had major surgery on July 29, did not listen to my doctor, tried to do some things around my place & now I am flat on my back. My wife is ticked at me & so are my kids. Do your wife & yourself a favor & take it easy!!! Randy

Mike I hope you get better. I realize no-matter how much we tell you to take it easy, you're not going to. But, I hope you can.

Friends if you live near Mike go over and help him out. I am speaking from experience here as I am building a house and shop too. It is a tremendous strain especially when health tries to get in the way. Sometimes help is right around the corner. I have found the people I thought I could depend on are no-where to be found but a new neighbor has been a God Send. I just hope I am able to return the favor.

Mike have a speedy recovery and I hope your garage prooves to be relaxing not a burden.

Leon

Jeez, Mr. P! Glad you're recovering from your "event". Take it easy, will ya, and ask for some help with your projects. Martyrdom is for saps and is highly overrated.

I guess this was my
by-pass that collapsed)...so hopefully I can escape
in a day or two.... damn bad plumbers, whats the
warranty

I've been fighting with the garage door myself. The spring broke and a week later the drive gear striped out. Will it ever end.Take care Mr P we need you.
