Somebody HELP!! Need to know if I can install 002's and 003's SS springs on my 62 b-body in the stock location. AND.... if so, what do I do about the rear small eye(a-body?) on the ss springs for my B-body car shackle ??? Is there a special shackle-bushing for this application ?? Everyone seems to have a listing starting with the year of 1963, are the 63's the same as the 62's ?? HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !!!!

as far as i can tell they are the same length 55" total , 20"in front of the spring and 35" to the rear ,I HAVE S/S SPRINGS ON MY 62 NOT SHURE THE ID #. I thought that the shacle bushing was the same size on all Ive changed mine but dont recall if they said for aor b cars. good luck BOB.

Eye bushing is 5/8 diameter on the SS springs which should be the same as your car.

I dont know if the 62 and 63 are the same but I can tell you the A-body springs bolt right in on my 63 as thats what I used but they were not the 002 and 003 springs as I used a 3400 lb spring. Ron

The 002/003 springs are for 3000lb A bodies. I'd agree with Ron on using the 3400lb springs. You'll need longer shocks, as in '60s-'70s Imperial (or'60s-'70s D100 fronts). You may already know that the RR of the car will sit higher than the LR unless you either use 2 same-# springs or adjust the LF torsion bar height, but I'll throw that in.
I have a '63 & a '64, but I'm really wanting a '62 Savoy...

If the 62 has the 21 inch front segment you will need new hangers. The SS springs have a 20 inch frt segment.Just dont use the MP ones they are for a 22 inch frt segment.Mancini has the proper hangers.I only use poly bushing. They dont come with rear bushing just front ones.Rocky
