Looking for some advice before I start pulling things apart. I have a 70 Hemi Roadrunner all pretty much stock. I bought the car and left it sitting in storage for 2-3 years. The last couple of times I have had the car out, it will start pushing transmission fluid out of the bellhousing area. I do not believe it is coming out of the front pump seal. It also seems the warmer it is outside, the sooner this starts to happen. The car has the stock 3 core radiator, looks to be in good condition, stock converter and the stock transmission cooler.
Am I fighting a overheating problem in the trans, and if so should I be looking for a fluid flow problem or internal transmission troubles. The transmission shifts firm and the fluid is clean and red.
What kind of tempature should I see if I take a reading at the trans pan, 200-250?
Thanks!
Dan
