I gotta admit that Jason made the story very interesting. IMO what seems to be two totally diff people makes for good reading.
I wish you guys luck, and I hope you win...
Is that guy with the turbo Nova running this year?? That cat was bad to the bone.
Is there a list of participants or invitees yet?

i dont care who you are and how much money you have, Drag Week in a 7 second car takes lots of money.

could i do what he does begging for money, NO but at the same time, i was with him last year and he could have packed it in on the first day. after his chute didnt open his brakes were toast. tortured himself, me and the car for 5 days. why would someone be willing to destroy a 40k engine? it was for the people who donated, he said it over and over, mumbling under his breath about all the people that helped him along the way.

so for as messed up as we all think he is, he has some good qualities also. there just hard to find. kindof got to read between the lines with Eddie

Felix & Oscar of the Drag World

Say or think what you like, but you got to give Ed, 100% for tenacity.

If truth be known, I'm sure a lot would like to do the same, think about it, but never do anything about it.

I wish him/both all the sucess

I think one member here is still waiting on a refund for 4k for his motor that he had to pay someone to take out of that shop. There are a few members who are now considered losers who went down that road and drank the koolaide. I just can't understand how you are the best in everything just ask him and people are knocking the doors down for him to make magic horsepower, if you are that busy where is the money. but you cannot think of gift certificates for labor to cover the DONATION, that way you get something back. Rewind the clock a few years when he spin his tales on here and if Best or Dram or any other of the shops said they were gonna do the donation thing what would he of posted. Just amazing. Ohh yeah folks I have three Mopars of my own and I am gonna hit Fatbutgers on thursday cruise nite to represent Ma Mopar and hammer on them ricers with my grocery getter but can ya all spare some change for a Burger or two better yet make it enough for Mortons and I will cleanup on the Beemer crowd. I suppose if I was really serious and needed car money I would do as I and many others have done when its car related, Top Ramen noodles 5 packs for a dollar, just add boiling water. Photos on request. Mopar On.

I'll have to agree on this one...he has helped many of his friends when they were in need..might not have been financly but he was there for them..

yes he is a very colorful person, very outspoken, spends a lot of money he probably doesnt have and keeps you all in stitches..

I have to say this Ebay thing takes balls and to do what he likes doing takes big ones...

my hats off to Edward on this one

Yep, after sending $25 bucks for the cause last time and after two years in a row offering up my trailer.....I didnt get a thank you, just scammed out of alot of cash.

Lets all hope the system works for a change.

But at the same time its clear there is a long list of people Eddie has put it to....

I dont think Indiana will be very Elvis friendly from what im told.

I can honestly say after the big F/U ive gotten from Eddie, nothing would please me more then to see him eat it at 150 plus, now thats Karma as he likes to put it.

Eddie is one person that could fall off the earth today and the world would be a better place without him in it.

Im amazed with the target he has on him from the list of people hes dicked over he can even leave his home town let alone go out of state.

Sorry Ray, I know hes your buddy but if you run with dogs sooner or later you will get fleas.

So the best I can do, as others feel the same is hope the worst for eddie and hope Ray dont get caught up in the mess.

As far as im concerned since my cash went into the purple car, until the 4k debt is delt with I own part of that car.

Ive been asked to sell the debt as some people in his town feel they can collect and really thats not a bad option....

Since you asked I will answer, so far simply talking to a detective here and one in Flordia as how to put things in motion, the detective here told use to collect all our docs, which we have over 30 pages.

So we took the paperwork to the detective and he said hes willing to fill out the "request for assistance" paperwork so one state can work with another.

The detective in Flordia said he would act on it due to the amount of money involved. And also said he would speak to the locals that have come forward that Eddie has screwed as well to show the pattern M/O Eddie has used on others.

Eddie did not accept or sign for the recent registered letter since my emails, phone calls were ignored.

Ive made it public id like it resolved and would even take a hit in the wallet...no word from eddie.

Ive also made it clear I wont let it pass the year point....take your pic from civil to criminal action, if eddie contiunes to ignore the issue its pretty easy to say I dont care if I need to spend another 4k or 14k or whatever it takes to get a resolve and its time these shops that screw people over and over be held responsible.

No amount of spin can detract the facts that he took our money with no intention of completing the job, and when I was advised by a old, wise well respected racer (team owner) to get my parts out of eddies shop while I still could and had a person in the area I did so before eddie could re-plan the scam.

The last I heard from eddie was the day my parts were picked up...His first words were...."Im not ripping you off" Gee why would I even think that?

And then 5 minutes of begging to let him finish it...

Ya know all ive asked from eddie is for a good set of carbs and some linkage to square things up, simply to save the law/court BS and so I dont have the feeling Ive had inside for a long time of being foolish enough to trust him and just pain flat out being robbed.

So until its resolved, ive very much an eye for an eye attitude.

So to see him begging for cash again...

I wont post second hand comments, but its clear eddie has burned alot of bridges and many are fed up with him.
