Well guys we are back from carlisle and i did get to meet a few of the members who have been following and who even donated parts to the cause. This is what she looked like up there...

Now that she is home we get to take all of it apart again

So some cool things happened up at carlisle as far as for the bee.

First off Mike Ross from B/E & A helped us out by giving us donations and huge discounts. He has got some extremely nice parts and is a great guy so check his website out... www.beaparts.com

Also Rick AKA SunroofGTX gave us the correct Z bar that we will need for the car...

Also got a package in the mail from MidPenMopar. Its a seat covering kit

We planned on having the car have painted bumpers so i managed to find some original rubber bumpers in the swap meet. They are pretty darn nice and i think we got a deal for only $150

Don't forget what you told me Steve, the engine will be in and running by the Nats! Even if your sitting on a milk crate.

Seriously, you're doing a great job Steve and keep up the great work.

I've been following this thread the whole time and have been impressed by the described progress, but haven't been able to look at any of the pictures for the last 6 months! Can anyone repost a couple of recent pics on the board? My server I have to use blocks all the photos from image hosting sites but not ones actually on moparts. I could also use a little inspiration for my 71 for when I get home!

This has easily been my favorite thread of all time on Moparts. You guys did an amazing job. It looks like you handled all the work on your own, and learned volumes of information and skills along the way. I cannot wait to see the continuing progress.
This entire time I wish I had some parts to donate. Since I don't, accept my congratulations on making many of us like myself look utterly lazy in comparison.
Seriously, nice job!

Looking good! Seeing pics like that makes me all that much the more inspired to finish my R/T. I've been on the fence between getting the body and paint professionally finished on mine, or getting a new challenger and continuing chipping away with the body work myself. I've got a few more weeks to ponder before I get home but in the last few days I've been leaning heavily towards getting the charger done. Life has a tendency of slowing down projects, but I do love the feeling of doing something myself though! I'm sure you're very familiar with that feeling by now!

Thanks Jon and BC!

satgtx It really did need everything. Every exterior panel has been replaced and/or patched including some interior structure pieces. How the frame and original fenders are as nice as they are is unknown to me That truck is actually mine i bought it when i turned 18. I think i have like $1800 paid on it and $5000 in mods since i bought it

Dude, you got skills even the most trained restored wishes he had. Still, will it be ready for the prom NEXT year? Probably soo.

Be sure to post a want/donation ad in the 1971+ b-body section so we can see if there is anything we can help you with.

Steve, I saw your car there but did not see you around at the time. I was very impressed by the quality of the work; it really looks nice, solid, and straight. I did see the car at your house during the BBQ last year before you started and I am amazed at what you have accomplished.
