i raced all day saturday , the HHR kept it at 190 or less . I dont run the fan in the pits--just pull off the hood.

I'd appreciate that.

You have the part number by any chance? Just wondering if it's the same I am looking at. And are the tubes welded or epoxied to the tanks?

thanks

Anyone know of any other vehicles that use the same electrical plug to fit the HHR fan?

I'd kinda like to know this myself since the GM dealer here can't find a connector available separately for the HHR unit.

Oh....and don't even think about ordering a new fan unit from a dealer up here....175.00 is about the going rate....rediculous compared to what you Yankee boys are paying.
My wife got mine thru her wrecking business for $80.00 including freight charges....yes, used, but in perfect condition.
Maybe try the salvage yards for a 2006-08 2.4litre one.

Is it just two male spade connectors? I never thought about trying to order one of those.

Cod-

dont have the part # , mine is the epoxy version and is 1.25" thick , bought it thru Summit for around $170 .

the connector : snip it off

2 wires , hot and ground. Solder and shrink wrap = done

AND - this fan is not reversible . ( i tried it)

Why not just cut the wiring on the current connector and put in your own connector if you have a connector for both sides of the wiring......

There isn't much of a pigtail to work with coming of the fan motor. I also have easy access to a yard with a bunch of chevys, so why not snip one. One thing for sure, I don't want to wire it up directly without a detachable plug.

Cross-references to GM PT-189 connector pigtail? That darn thing is $20.99 at O'Reilly and even more at Autozone
For a $60 fan
