Well guys havent done too much exciting just bondo work. The lower drivers quarter is extremely wavy even after hammers and dollys so it does need quite a bit of attention with bondo. I am masking it off by body lines to try and make them as crisp as possible. Here is the first section on and then the second taped off...

Then to get the kink in the side of the quarter better it was masked off again, yes there is a lot there but better more than not enough. Just need to start with everything high to help build the lines up then can slowly knock them down...

Then we have a cow as a hood. The thing has multiple dings and a lot of pitting and still more needs added...

Man this post is so encouraging. Yall are learning so many lessons that will serve you well in life. The stories alone will be priceless....."Well I remember when I was a teenager, we built a car and it ran on gas".

Great job guys, you should be proud.

Careful, your character's showing!

mopar346 Thanks! Well i hope gas cars are still around then but who knows with todays world.

Just been doing bondo work and finally got around to cleaning the roof. It is remarkably strait and required very little filler. We are beginners so we will get help to point out some spots we missed by a pro that i intern for. It does need some back at the seems but i wanted to wait until i lead them up to do that.

Can you say redneck lift? (still have more to add but need a couple more boys over to be able to get it that high)

Been very busy lately so i havent made any updates. The end of the year was crazy with school and then we just had senior week at the beach. But since then we have done some more bondo work started in on the doors some and while i was at the beach our buddy wes and the old man made up some of these brackets to move the car. The car is now in a body shop where i interned at during the school year and i will be going in there to work on the car. He has a better compressor, tools and his knowledge to see stuff. Plus the paint room. I'll snap some more pics thursday when i get back from my college orientation!

Then since it is to be a four speed i has our buddy wes plasma cut this so we can put it in the car!

Here is some pics of the car at the New Location...

It goes much fast here due to the larger variety of tools and speed of the compressor.

This morning I met with Jamie Passon of Passon Performance. I drop of my tranny that we are borrowing from my challenger. He is being a huge help with his knowledge and giving us a free rebuild for the tranny! He is also helping with advice on how to do the pedal conversions and getting the correct parts for it all to work. Check him out at http://www.passonperformance.com/

To paraphrase Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now:

"I walked up, and that smell, that Rage Gold smell, the whole hood... it smelled like....

Victory... Someday this war's gonna end..."

Well here is the deal for the tranny conversion. I have a bunch of stuff from my challenger as it is an original 4 speed. So i am donating it all to the bee since that car will not be done for years. Here is some of the stuff laid out...

The donor, thanks so much mr. challenger

And im starting in on the 4 speed pedal conversion from b to e body. A huge thanks to Jamie from Passon Performance for telling me how to do it...

It seems pretty simple but i have to blast everything first. So i will head over to wes' farm to blast it

Steve,
You got your homework done already! Good job!
Now remember what I said to do and then bring the parts back to the shop Saturday and we will get them back together for you so that you have a working set! Don't forget about the rods...

Today I went up to Passon Performance. I picked up my trans and had Jamie Assemble the pedals since hes the pro!

Before I went I blasted and painted all the parts...

And Here is the final product produced by Passon. I cant wait to drive it, and you know its done right because Passon built it...

Here is a picture of myself and the man responsible for all of this great help and donations!
