Hey everyone. I keep getting debris in my fule line which causes the car to stall. I have had the tank flushed about three years ago. I am thinking fo goin with an electric pump. Anyone every use this?http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-PUMPKIT7A/

Also want to replace the filler tube due to orginal and could be by rot sorce for debris. Who is making repo's?

Sounds like you need a new fuel tank first before getting a new fuel pump. When switching tanks you can clean up the filler tube because I don't think anybody repos them.

How was it flushed and why did you have it flushed?

I had a similiar problem with the old tank, but I never had a stalling issue.I had found one off ebay for cheap. Took it to a local shop and they flushed it, what that invovled I dont know. Now that I am having pretty much the same problem I gotta belive its either the line rotting out or the filler tube.

I firgured I would elimnate the line and just get the kit, drop the tank and take a look inside.

How would I go about cleaning the filler tube?

The Eastwood 3 step gas tank repair kit would work well if there's metal left. The Eastwood kit uses strong detergent, muriatic acid and acetone to get the gunk out and remove or pickle the rust. The last step is a sealer. They used to sell it in a motorcycle size that would work well for a filler tube. You'll just need to rig up some end caps.

You could do your whole tank that way too.
