I am assembling my 440 and I have a question about which balancer bolt to use.

It is a 1976 cast crank 440.

One bolt is approximately 1.25 inches long

The other is approximately 2.00 inches long

Both measurements are taken with the washer off.

One could be a SB bolt. I don't want to bottom out the big one and think things are tight etc.

Any help here?

Thank you for your support.

ROB

1.25"
The 2" may be nice to start pulling it on though then switch to the 1.25???

Either will work as long as they don't bottom.
