I have some 70 Charger OEM disk brakes - the ones with the 2 piece rotors. Some questions: First, will one piece rotors fit on - if not directly, is there a different bearing that is needed? Second, these had the Kelsey Hayes calipers - what options are there to replace them with newer calipers? Will calipers and caliper adaptors from a later car bolt up and work?

Thanks - that's a good article on the whole swap process but doesn't address my question.

Can the two piece rotors be replaced with uni-cast rotors? Any difference in the bearings?

Yes there is a differance, the inner bearing is larger, there is no suitable bearing to adapter the unicast rotor to the early spindle.... Which is why Dr Diff sells an adapter to allow the larger bearing to be used with the early spndle...

Second part of your question asked about Kelsey Hayes calipers.. If you have single piston calipers like a 70 should then you have Bendix calipers... If you have four piston calipers you have 66-69 vintage brakes on your 70... But assuming you have Bendix calipers you can further upgrade your brakes by swapping the current caliper adapters for a pair off a car equipt with 11.75 brakes & pin style calipers... The last pair I got camr off a 76 Cordoba... That allows you to install the larger 11.75 rotor...

If you have the 4 piston brakes you'll need to replace the spindles...
